Project from November 2018 until January 2019.
This design is a response on the Pier of Scheveningen. It is known as the large colossal building that runs over the sea and bursts into 3 branches with entertainment. De Pier has been struggling for years to find the right function for the building. In this project I help with that search. I started an investigation in the form of an interactive model. With which I, but also the visitor of the Scheveningen boulevard, can shape an ideal pier. Every variant is possible. You decide how you place an element and what function it will receive. Together we will look for the ideal pier!
In this project I also looked at the accessibility of the use. If it is an interactive model, it must therefore have the appearance that people are allowed to touch it. I have designed it in such a way that it gets the look of a toy, making it accessible for everyone to play with.
